A coastal walkway runs from here to Kalk Bay with breathtaking ocean views and lined with historic buildings including the SA Police Museum, Natele Labia, and Rhodes Cottage.The long beaches here are family friendly and, unlike many of the beaches around the Cape Peninsula, demonstrate a diverse, but integrated, South African society. Muizenberg's beaches are best remembered for the multicolored changing rooms that appear on many of Cape Town's favourite postcards.
