African Spirit Game Lodge, situated 12 km’s west of Mkuze, invites guests to experience true luxury and warm African hospitality. The lodge is personally managed by the owners, Henk & Liezle Brink and is magnificently set in the heart of Zululand. The lodge is situated within the Zululand Rhino Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, against the backdrop of the Lebombo Mountains.

Zululand Rhino Reserve is an endangered species reserve of 24 000 hectares. It was recently proclaimed as a nature reserve and received international recognition for the introduction of 28 black rhino in 2005. The reserve has over 70 mammal species and among them are elephant, white and black rhino, buffalo, leopard, wild dog, spotted hyena, brown hyena, cheetah, African wildcat, serval, lynx, black back jackal, giraffe, zebra, blue wildebeest, nyala, impala, common reedbuck, warthog, waterbuck, bushpig, red & grey duiker, steenbuck, bush buck, mountain reedbuck, ostrich, red hartebeest and diverse birdlife of over 450 species.

SERVICED ACCOMMODATION:
African Spirit Game Lodge accommodation is intimate and consists of 4 quaint, fully serviced chalets. Each comfortable and stylish chalet accommodates 2 people with an en-suit bathroom, air-conditioner, mini bar, ceiling fan, tea and coffee facilities. The paths are well-lit and connect the chalets to the main lodge.

Our main lodge features a comfortable and relaxed dining room, cozy lounge, bar, open fire place attached to the lodge and a swimming pool with a thatched gazebo, offering our guest a welcome retreat after a day in the African bush.

Our meals are your typical South African style which ensures that you will never go hungry and will enjoy every bite that is carefully prepared by our cooks.

SELF CATERING:
Our self-catering 2-bedroom unit has a spacious comfortable lounge area with a separate dining area, fully equipped open plan kitchen with electric stove, microwave oven and fridge/freezer. All linen, bedding, bath towels, kitchen utensils, crockery and a reasonable quantity of firewood /anthracite is supplied.

We offer morning and afternoon game drives which will allow you to get close to Africa’s wildlife in an open vehicle with a trained guide who will not only ensure your safety but who will guarantee a wildlife experience that will capture your imagination.
