Agincourt Guest House is a large, gracious Cape manor house, situated in the beautiful valley of Franschhoek, in the foothills of the Middagkrans Mountain. It stands in it's own park-like grounds of 1 1/2 acres, with stunning views down the valley to distant mountains. Surrounded by vineyards and approached by a private road, the setting is very peaceful and relaxing.

Within the house there are 8 very spacious (min 35 sq mts) well-appointed en-suite bedrooms. All bathrooms have heated towel rails and the bedrooms have ceiling fans and electric heaters. For guests' relaxation we have two lounges - one alongside the pool with wide-screen TV and large indoor barbecue. The other is well furnished with comfortable sofas, armchairs and antique chaises-lounges. There are lots of books to read and a grand piano, for the musically talented to play. A full English breakfast (including our own free-range organic eggs) is served in the dining room, or outside on the covered veranda. The ten metre long, salt-chlorinated pool keeps guests cool in summer. Pool towels, loungers and armchairs are provided.

The centre of Franschhoek is only 1km away, where the guest will find world renowned restaurants, wineries and shops. We have arrangements with several restaurants, that will collect and return guests at no additional charge.

There are many attractions and activities for visitors in Franschhoek and the surrounding area, all can be arranged by Sheila:
* Horse riding - including vineyard tours on horseback
* Mountain biking - hire of bikes and accompanied tours
* Hiking - with professional guide if requested
* Quad biking - half or full day tours
* Cape Town or other tours
* Big Five - only 1 1/2 hrs drive from Franschhoek
* Golf - Pearl Valley (15 mins drive)< Paarl Golf Club (25 mins drive), Villiersdorp Golf Club (45 mins drive) - 9 holes,very friendly and casual, ideal for half-day. There are also courses in Kleinmond, Hermanus, Stellenbosch, Somerset West - all within 1 1/2 hrs drive.
