My friends and I had the fortune of staying at the Boven Villa while traveling to and from Kruger Park. The accommodation was absolutely charming and the proprietor, Sean, went to great lengths to make us all feel welcome. He had some wonderful suggestions of things to do in the area (check out the waterfall) and also made a delicious breakfast in the morning. It was a great place to begin our South African journey and I would have no reservations recommending the Boven Villa to anyone.

Beautiful place, 2 hours and 30 minutes away from Johannesburg, right on the way to Kruger via Nelspruit. I think it's a good idea to stop there on the way to Kruger, if you arrive in the afternoon and don't want to stay in Jo'burg, and want to be close to Kruger park (less than 90 minutes away) don't miss the place. The cottage is huge, clean, safe area and with the owner very helpful, and with a great sens of humor. Ben Matlock - July 2010 |
