China Toad is situated on the border of Tokai forest. Tranquility, birdsong and squirrels abound. Within 6km of 5 world renowned wine farms – so visitors can take advantage of wine tasting in the beautiful Constantia valley. Hiking trails are plentiful with the start of Elephants Eye as well as Elsies Peak and Muizenberg Cave all within a few minutes drive. Muizenberg beach is around the corner and the world famous fishing village of Kalk Bay with the colourful unique flavour of the Cape is 10 minutes away. There are two golf courses nearby – Steenberg is within 2km and Westlake golf course is a mere 4km away. The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is within 20 minutes drive and the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay are a further 10 minutes. A wide selection of upmarket restaurants are very conveniently situated nearby – just in case!
China Toad allows you the freedom of catering for yourself with a kitchenette containing a microwave, kettle, toaster and bar fridge (crockery, cutlery etc provided) – complimentary tea and coffee facility also provided. There is sleeping accommodation for four – one double bed in the bedroom, as well as a double sleeper couch in the lounge. The bathroom has a bath, toilet, washbasin and shower - bathroom towels are included.
China Toad is serviced three times per week (Mon, Thurs and Sat). MNet and SABC channels colour TV in lounge. There is a courtyard leading off the lounge/kitchenette area – an ideal spot to breakfast and catch up on e-mails if necessary. Access to pool, patio and braai area by arrangement. There is secure parking behind an electronic gate and an alarm system is installed to ensure optimal security.
