Not only is Conifer Cape situated at the slopes of Table Mountain, but it also has a lovely view of Lion's Head. Within a matter of minutes you can be on Signal Hill, overlooking the wonderful city of Cape Town. The Cable Car and Table Mountain is definately not to be missed. Take a tour through Cape Town with the Hop-on-Hop-off bus, which departs not too far from Conifer Cape. De Waterkant, Kloof Street and Long Street are just a few of the places to visit when looking for restaurants, and it is walking distance from Conifer Cape. The V&A Waterfront is only 3 kilometres from the guest house, and the Cape Town International Airport is just a 20 mintes' drive away. Enjoy a short walk to the park and reservoir in the Gardens, or even the Company Gardens, where you can feed the birds.

Close to the city the road splits into two. Stay left towards Campsbay and go to far left lane. Follow the Sign “De Waal Drive/Cableway”. De Waal Drive goes first up then down the hill into town. As you are coming down the hill into town, look for “Cableway and Campsbay" sign and turn LEFT Attention: Do not take the exit Vredehoek! At the first traffic light, turn left onto UPPER BUITENKANT St, facing the Mountain. Cross over the 4-way stop stil facing the MT, look for the ENGEN Garage on your left. Right after the Garage turn RIGHT onto FLOWER ST (one way). Flower st ends at a T_junction. Look to your left for the sign on the wall: CONIFER CAPE GUESTHOUSE, turn left and then immediatly right into the very narrow lane and park right infront of the house. Via the N1 Follow the N1 with direction to Cape Town City into town. Then, about 2 km ahead (Buitengracht Rd.), you reach a traffic light with the road sign M3 / “De Waal Drive”, turn left in the Buitensingel (downhill). When you pass the entrance of the Mount Nelson Hotel, drive further passing 2 traffic lights. After the ENGEN petrol station (on the left) turn right at the robot into Breda Street. Turn left after 300m/ 2nd street (Prince street). Take the first left into the narrow Jagersfontein Lane. Nr. 1 is the first house on the left side. |
