Further north there is the renowned town of Oudtshoorn - home of the world's largest bird namely the ostrich! When visiting the ostrich farms, you could even try to ride one. The cheetah & crocodile park enables you to view these magnificent animals from up close and for the brave of heart you can even do a cage dive with a crocodile. The world famous Cango Caves, only a 10- minute drive from Oudtshoorn, can be visited during the day. Wine tasting can be done on the estates along the Garden Route as well as in the Little Karoo. An exciting experience is grape picking during February where you can indulge in the amazing sweet taste of the Hanepoot grape.
