Description
Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Reserve Unit 90 offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a tastefully furnished 8-sleeper house. The thatched home is situated in the Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Reserve in the Carolina District in Mpumlanga. The reserve offers peace and tranquillity and a place to enjoy with friends and family.
The house comprises 4 en-suite bedrooms. The first and second bedrooms have king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms with a bath and shower in each. The third and fourth bedrooms have 2 single beds in each and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The 2 single beds can be converted into a king-size bed if needed.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a fridge, oven and stove, and a microwave. The living area comprises an open-plan lounge and dining area, and the house has a fireplace, a TV with full DStv channels, and a sound system. The living area opens to a patio with an outside dining and lounge area, as well as a braai area and splash pool. In the garden is a boma with a fire pit. The house is cleaned twice a day.
Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Reserve's clubhouse has communal swimming pool, tennis courts, and a games room for guests to enjoy. There is a small shop that offers basic grocery items and firewood.
There are many activities available in the reserve, including horse riding, hiking trails, mountain-bike trails, bird watching, fly fishing in any of the 8 stocked dams, and game drives.
