Welcome to Gemini Experience, a Hoedspruit accommodation. You can book online on TravelGround.com.
The Gemini Experience is a fully catered and professionally guided safari for a group of 2 to 8 guests in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve. The safari camp is exclusively booked by a group that then have an assigned ranger and caterer for the duration of their stay. The safari camp is positioned on a level plain on the banks of the Klaserie River under a grove of rain trees and jackalberries. Timbavati Private Nature Reserve is famous for the White Lions from the 1970's and has many well known commercial lodges. Gemini offers total exclusivity with just 4 free standing chalets scattered under the trees with a central swimming pool and fire enclosure for evenings around the camp fire.
There is a large open plan thatched covering with two sides entirely of roll down canvas so the whole area can be opened up facing out onto the pool and the river beyond. This expanse of roof houses a long dining table and chairs with the kitchen through swing doors. There is a bar counter and stools with music system, fridge and bar memorabilia and a cosy corner dedicated to a arrangement of easy chairs around a jet master fire place. The rest of space is a casual arrangement of couches and ottomans where time can be pleasantly passed during the heat of the day. The pool is big and crystal clear and surrounded by a lush strip of lawn and sun lounges.
The chalets have a small entrance hall into a spacious room dominated by a four posted bed-bush style-with frame supporting a billowing white mosquito net canopy. The ceiling fan is inside this canopy so that even hot summer nights will be comfortable and insect free. The room is decorated with hand painted works and an arrangement of easy chairs around a low table. Light streams in from a sliding door opening onto a patio and an adjacent door leads into a tiled bathroom. The ball and claw bath and stone vanity form a passage to the glass door leading to the atrium and outdoor shower. Most rooms have queen sized beds but a few twins are available. A quirky alternative sleeping arrangement is an open sided attic built over the camp workshop complete with canopied beds for a pleasant night sleep even out doors with lion calls and a hooting owl for a lullaby.
This camp is extremely comfortable and convivial spot for a close group of friends to spend some quality time together in the bush, enjoying the open vehicle game drives, sharing evening meals around the fire and afternoons at the pool or taking a siesta in comfort
