Enjoy standard and rustic accommodation in a 1930’s Karoo style country farm setting at GRATEFUL. We are a Christian Guest House and Backpackers, and welcome sober individuals and groups who are looking for some peace and quiet in a spacious country atmosphere, accommodation is in smoke-free buildings. This is not a party venue.

We are almost half-way to anywhere in South Africa and are ideally situated close to the N1, some Restaurants, and a few minutes drive to the centre of town. Units are available either at the swimming pool or in the farm yard under the pine trees.

GENERAL ACCOMMODATION: Overnight, Self-Catering, Family Friendly, Pet-Friendly, Backpackers and Camping and Bush Camps.

GROUP ACCOMMODATION: Church, Ministry, Tour, Sport, Conference, Youth and other Groups welcome.

BUSINESS / OFFICE ACCOMMODATION: Desk in Room, Printer, Fax, Scanner, Colour Copier, and Limited Internet Access.

SPECIAL ACCOMMODATION: Year-Of-Your-Life, Volunteer, Work-stay / Farm-stay, Home-stay, Education Stay / Edu-Stay, Retreat, Prayer-Retreats.

FACILITIES: Self Catering, Veranda, Swimming Pool, Camp-Fire, BBQ, Rustic Kitchen, Informal Conference or Meetings, Photo Copier, Parking for more than 40 cars. (Please advise beforehand which facilities you are planning on using)

ACTIVITIES: Swimming, Star-gazing, Birding, Prayer Walks, Christian Walks, Farm Animal Walks, Horse Riding, Safari Drives, Tours, Hunting, Space for Soccer, Rugby, Cricket, Volleyball etc. (Please advise beforehand which activities you are planning as some facilities are off-site and need to be booked and paid beforehand.)

MEALS: Meals and Barbi-ques (BBQ's) / Braai's can be arranged, depending on Sheff availability.

Various Tours, Safari Game Drives, campfire and BBQ facilities can be booked.

A Television with SABC 1,2,3 & eTV is available at the communal veranda. Self Catering facilities available if arranged before

We are also planing several tours around Bloemfontein and the Free State. Inquire about our bush-camp caravan campsites. Horse stabling, grazing and pets allowed by arrangement.
