Langvlei Dunes Accommodation

This beautiful area is very diverse, with mountains, valleys, coast, lakes and rivers close by. Each of these features create distinct habitats, with the result that there is a fantastic range of birds and plants to be found, quite a few endemic to this region.

One cannot spend a couple of days here without a trip towards Bergplaas, where there is always some fynbos in flower. A walk into the forest is also a must as the southern Cape coastal belt forests are unique. You cannot but marvel at the majestic old trees, the massive treeferns underneath and then of course, the birds.

There are lovely beaches right along the coast-line, the nearest about 4kms from LANGVLEI DUNES ACC. One can virtually always see dolphins passing by, and in season whale watching from an elevated position is rewarding. From Dolphin Point one can usually see a seal or two.

This area is truly a beautiful place, but not just for the lover of nature. There are so many outdoor activities for the really energetic to indulge in.
