Lifehouse is an upmarket, yet affordable, self-catering establishment in the heart of the picturesque coastal village of Hermanus. It is an enchanting accommodation base from which to explore the Western Cape.

Situated on the shores of Walker Bay, Hermanus is renowned for the best land-based whale watching experience in the world, and within easy reach of Shark Alley, home of the Great White Shark.

With its unparalleled scenic beauty, modern infrastructure, upmarket shops and endless adventure options, it’s little wonder that the town has grown in size and popularity during the last decade.

Hermanus also offers great beaches, mountain walks and the craft market is famous for its art. Our town has many fine restaurants and is a wine lover’s paradise with nearby vineyards offering wine tasting. For golf lovers, Hermanus presents the opportunity to play at two top golf courses.

This spacious, modern holiday home is situated close to the ocean, in a quiet street, within walking distance of the village centre and the hiking trail following the sea front. It is only 200 metres from an oceanic tidal pool known as “Frik se Gat”.

Up to eight adults can be accommodated comfortably in the spacious double storey house with its four en-suite bedrooms. Each bedroom has a double bed and single bunk beds for children. Blankets, towels, linen and pillows are provided. Built-in cupboards in all bedrooms afford generous space for storing clothes.

The facilities are self-catering and thus include a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry. The large dining and three sitting areas lead on to a covered sea front balcony, which is equipped for alfresco dining and barbeques. They overlook the private swimming pool. Satellite Television and a DVD player provide in-house entertainment. During inclement weather whale watching from the house is possible during the whale watching season.

The property is properly fenced, creating a sheltered environment for our visiting families. The expansive roof area affords stunning views of the town, bay and surrounding mountains.

The caretaker, who occupies the second house on the premises, provides our foreign visitors with practical local information and guidance to make their visit pleasant and can also assist with arranging transportation, domestic help and bookings.
