There must have been a misunderstanding of the type of accommodation and environment that is offered. Previous reviews are a clear indication of what to expect.
1. There was never claimed or indicated on our page that there is a typical reception although a person meets you with the keys, assigned the room to you, was available to assist with the offloading and was nearby during normal working hours and in his room during the whole evening.
2. If you read the page thoroughly, which should be done before booking, you would immediately see that a communal kitchen described. You were also the only group in the camp and you had the whole facilty to yourself.
3. After inspection by me, no cockroaches were found anywhere in the kitchen and I cannot remember that I have ever seen before. The worker there also assured me there are no cockroaches but maybe some come from guests own baskets or containers but if so they are dealt with in our regular spray program for mosquitos and other bugs.
4. This place is located on a farm and although there is signal it is sometimes not to strong on certain spots in camp and we are working on options to make it better.
5. As mentioned in point 1, the person that assisted you with booking in, are staying only meters from the establishment and are available at all time and he apparently did inform you of this. I will again make sure that guest are aware of that.
6. We were not aware of a problem with the power causing it to trip in that room nor had it anytime after that up to now but it could be that due to bad weather that night the power went off and on a while later because if it was tripped. Candles are provided in each room in case of a power failure and again the mentioned person can be called.
7. The fire extinguisher service will be done asap. They were bought new in 2016 and are all still full and at the correct pressure but the provider should have come back to service it on a yearly basis
8. I am not aware of a DB box standing open at all time because they all have proper covers and if it was it may have been when the worker cleaned the baskets and filter of the swimming pool and switching the pool pump on and off at the box where the pool switch is located.
9. The eating area is basically open under a lapa and therefore the benches may be dusty depending on the weather and sometimes monkeys also enter under the lapa but it is cleaned daily and also during the day while there are guests in camp.
10. There are 2 spades in the boma, one with a long wooden handle and one with a short metal handle.
11. We prefer not to have a door between the bathroom and room in this en-suite unit.

Goeiedag Herman. Dankie vir die uiters positiewe resensie. Ja ysmasjien is maar 'n problem met ons water wat bietjie kalk/sout is maar daar is darem ys, koeldrank beskikbaar slegs 6km van daar by die Sasol Vulstasie & Gerieflikheidswinkel. Skakel gerus weer en volgende keer bring maar ys of reël vooraf met my dan sorg ek dat daar beskikbaar is. Groete Cecil

Goeiedag, dankie vir die terugvoer. Daar sal gekyk word na die probleempies soos uitgewys.
Party rokers, wat terloops nie in die kamers mag rook nie, skiet wel hul stompies oral rond terwyl asbakke voorsien word en sigaret stompies voortdurend opgetel word deur ons. Vanweë die uiters hoë kalk inhoud in ons water is stortkoppe 'n probleem en is dit veronderstel om gereeld verwyder te word om skoongemaak te word, en sal die persoon daar aangespreek word. Indien u stortkop wel 'n probleem gehad het tydens u verblyf van meer as 'n week, kon dit sekerlik aan die persoon daar uitgewys word en kon hy dit binne enkele minute reggestel het.
