Mount Everest Game Farm is a game reserve of approximately 1000 hectares in the scenic Eastern Free State, just 20 kilometres from Harrismith. There are rolling grassland, rocky mountain cliffs and some wooded areas. The mountains are the inspiration for making Mount Everest a very popular and well known mountain climbing destination. The farm offers accommodation in caravan and camping sites as well as nine chalets, some of which are set amongst the hilltops to ensure total privacy, while others are in the main camp, providing a place for children to play and roam. It is also a working sheep farm and chicken farm and home to a lively family of six.

Each self-catering chalet has a living room, a fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms with showers or baths. The rooms are furnished with bunk beds, single beds and or double beds. Linen and towels are provided. Some chalets are cozy log cabins, while others are brick with thatch roofs.

Spectacular views of the mountains and grasslands are provided in most of the chalets. Chalets can sleep four people, six people or twelve people. Chalets are serviced daily. A braai area is also available to guests at most of the sites. Our Kransduif chalet is set high against the Mooihoek Mountain and can only reached by foot. This one is a very romantic honeymoon getaway.

Mooihoek campsite is nestled against the foothills of the Mooihoek Mountain cliffs that will give any mountain climber the experience of a lifetime! The campground has approximately 20 camping sites, providing water, electricity and very clean, communal bathrooms for him and her. There is also an area where dishes can be cleaned.

Conference and wedding facilities are available on the farm, or other small functions can also be catered for. It is the perfect place for team building, family reunions and office meetings.

For your entertainment, there is a games room fitted with DSTV, table tennis, board games and a mini gym equipped with a treadmill, exercise bicycle and strength trainer. Guests can also enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, swimming in the dams (there is also a fufi slide at the swimming hole ), or drives in open cross-country vehicles to view the more than 22 species of game on the farm. Among the game on the farm are blesbuck, springbuck, zebra, blue wildebeest, black wildebeest, waterbuck and also the less common lechwe.
