This stylish 1830 homestead is centrally situated in the heart of the port capital of South Africa, Calitzdorp, overlooking port vineyards of Boplaas and within walking distance of all the wineries, gallieries, shops and the museum in town. That thatch roof homestead in Karoo and Vicorian architecture has large vine-covered patios, where you can enjoy the Karoo sunsets, scrumptious dinners and breakfasts. Relax by the sparkling pool in the lush garden, or enjoy the fragrant rose garden.

There are nine luxury bedrooms with four-poster beds and fully appointed en-suite bathrooms. One family unit with two en-suite double rooms and a private entrance is also available. Air-conditioning, ceiling fans, hairdryers, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary port wine can be found in all of the rooms. We also have accommodation for disabled guests. Cosy fireplaces help to warm cold winter nights. Ample secure off-street parking is available for the guests. English, German, Dutch and Afrikaans are spoken.

Home cooked meals are made from local and predominantly organic produce. We also cater for vegetarians and special dietary requiments/intolerances. We have full liquor license and have a comprehensive selection of local wines and ports available.
