The gentle elegance of Sheilan House, a luxurious guest house, provides all its guests with a unique experience of friendly hospitality, excellent location and access to the very best of the local activities of Port Alfred in the Eastern Cape. We are a mere 300 meters from Royal Port Alfred Golf Club.

The modern design of the guest house with clean lines and large airy rooms has led to it being described as "the house of light". The sparkling pool, lush gardens and private patios create an impression of a Mediterranean getaway in the heart of Port Alfred.

There are 5 rooms - 3 doubles, 1 twin and 1 family room. All have individually controlled air-conditioners, TV, and usual amenities. The family room has a queen-size bed and 2 singles. The family room is next to the swimming pool which is unfenced and not suitable for small children.

Port Alfred is situated halfway between Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and East London. Both cities have airports that are serviced by all domestic airlines. Port Alfred and Sheilan House are therefore ideally suited for both business and leisure travelers. Local amenities include golf, fishing, water sports, horse riding, adventure sports or just lazing around on our endless stretches of pristine beach.

Port Alfred is close to the many game reserves of the malaria-free Eastern Cape. We are happy to book day or night safaris for you.
