Sherwood Lodge is situated in the secure De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate, surrounded by vineyards, lemon and olive groves, and breathtaking mountain scenery. De Zalze is just five minutes out of Stellenbosch and twenty minutes from Cape Town International Airport.

We offer a self-catering luxury home with three en-suite bedrooms (that can accommodate up to 8 people with prior arrangement), lounge with fireplace and DStv, dining room, and fully-equipped kitchen. A bar leads out onto the patio overlooking the pool and the green of the 16th hole. All rooms are air-conditioned, and there is a resident maid who cleans daily and will undertake cooking and babysitting if requested.

Golf games can be booked for you on request and professional lessons are available at the club. The estate has its own vineyard and a cellar for wine tasting as well as Terroir Restaurant, voted Best in South Africa in 2006. There are also walking trails bird-watching and fishing in the beautiful winelands surrounds.

De Zalze is 5km from the historic city of Stellenbosch which is famous for its world class wine. There are many high quality restaurants art galleries museums and a huge choice of fantastic wine farms in the area. Ten minutes away you can pet cheetahs or see birds of prey at "Eagle Encounter". There is a shopping centre just outside the gates of the estate where you can do your shopping or check your emails at the internet cafe.
