Muizenberg is home to many examples of the grand architecture of its Victorian times when it was an exclusive seaside resort for the rich and famous. Muizenberg was initially a cattle farm and later became a military outpost. Visit some of the museums, walk the historical mile to St James or indulge in the theatre and gastronomic culture that is expanding.

Muizenberg is known for its long wide expanse of sandy beach with kid-friendly waves, colourful bathing boxes and has the added bonus of warmer water for bathers. Behind the beach are added extras like miniature putt-putt and the super-tube (waterslide).

Muizenberg is an easy access point for hiking off Boyes Drive which is a scenic travel road. Muizenberg is within easy reach for visits to Zandvlei a popular water sport destination. Other outdoor opportunities include boating, sailing, canoeing and bird watching.
