Cape Town International Airport is the gateway for tourism to the Western Cape and a hub for South African Airways. This is the second-largest airport in South Africa, after Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport, and the third-largest in Africa.
The airport is rapidly undergoing changes thanks to a dramatic increase in tourism and business traveller growth, and in anticipation of the FIFA 2010 World Cup. Currently, the CTIA handled over 8 million passengers annually, and sees a 15% increase each year.
