Helicopter Flight Oct 2005
Situated between Signal Hill and the Atlantic Ocean, Sea Point is Cape Town's most densely populated suburb. This is the Cape Peninsula's premier coastal high-rise area and is a trendy area for living, investing an owning property. This is a place of urban rejuvenation with many properties owned by Dutch, German and British investors.
Space here is at a premium due to Sea Point's prime oceanside location. A common communal space is the Sea Point promenade, a beach-front walkway used by residents and tourists for strolling, jogging or socializing. The coastline varies from rocky and almost inaccessible, to open white-sand beaches. Unfortunately, thought, these beaches are generally covered with washed up mussels, unlike the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay.
Sea Point main road was once a hive of activity, filled with popular restaurants and fashionable shops, but the V&A Waterfront has stolen much of Sea Point's patronage. Sections of Sea Point main road still have incredible, well-established restaurants and shops and the area offers a vibrant night life.
