Situated on the Eastern side of the Waterberg range, this reserve is home to a large number of animal species, over 250 bird species, and many reptile species (including the Rock Python and Black Mamba). Its rugged and moutainous terrain is certainly worth a visit.

The d'Nyala Nature Reserve is near to Onverwacht, and as the name implies is well stocked with Nyala antelope. Despite the name, there are infact over 60 types of mammals present in the park including giraffe, rhino, zebra, eland, hyena and leopard.
