Amathole District accommodation. A 2-day horse riding safari on Tharfield Farm, a historic 1820-Settler beef cattle farm. Take an exhilarating horse ride along the beach and through the dune forest. Ride into the Kleinemonde river valley with stunning sea and river views. Stop for a picnic at the farm dam. Spot indigenous game such as Duiker, Oribi, Bush Buck and Vervet Monkeys, also birds such as Fish Eagle, Crowned Eagle, Narina Trogan and Loerie. Arrive at your camp for the night – a simple treehouse deep in the forest in an ancient Yellowwood tree, overhanging a natural swimming pool in the Riet River. Braai by candlelight, while your horses graze nearby. After breakfast catch and saddle up your horses with us for your return ride, following the Riet River valley. For a full weekend of adventure, combine the horse safari with the Kleinemonde West Canoe Trail into Nyala Valley Game Reserve. Extra accommodation is available in a Farmhouse B+Bfor a night before or after your Safari.
