Cape Town accommodation. Camps Bay Beach on the Atlantic Seaboard in Cape Town is lined with many summer cocktail spots and fashionable stores and eating spots (it has the development that Clifton lacks). This long white-sand beach is lined with palm trees, and is a good family beach or trendy sun-tanning location. Beaches on the west coast of the Cape Peninsula tend to be colder than their counterparts on the east coast, but they are typically more sheltered from the Cape's gusty southeaster wind.
