Oudtshoorn accommodation. The Cango Wildlife Ranch is counted one of the best conservation institutions in the world, and is best know for it's noble cheetah and Bengal tiger breeding programs (amongst others).
While the breeding area remains off limits, tourists are invited to socialize with tame cheetahs, tiger and lion cubs. Children can also interact with these cubs as well as various reptiles and farm animals.
Lion, leopard and puma can also be viewed, from an elevated walkway, allowing visitors to view these majestic cats in the bush as they go about their daily business. For reptilian lovers, there is also a variety of snakes on display, including a 4m boa constrictor and some rarer and deadlier species.
The Valley of Ancients is also a magnificent place to stroll around in. Fruitbats and various bird species fly near your head whilst baby crocodiles and tropical cichlid fish share a large viewing tank nearby. The lemur island and of course Crocodile Cage Diving also make the trip one to remember.
The ranch is only 3km outside of Oudtshoorn and offers a variety of tours and events. The restaurant even serve ostrich and crocodile meat for the more adventurous!
