Pretoria accommodation. Among the buildings on the square are the Raadsaal (1890), onetime parliament of the former Boer Republic and the Palace of Justice (1899), used as a military hospital until 1902 by the British. Anton van Wouw's statue of Paul Kruger was cast in Italy in 1899, the year the Transvaal Republic want to war against the British Empire.
