The gardens have one of the worlds largest palm and cycad exhibits and contain 480 species of tree, South Africa's oldest Jacaranda tree, and an Encephalartos woodii transplanted from the Ngoye forest in 1916. The herbarium, braille trail and tea garden are also strong drawing cards.
