This old red-brick building used to be a railway station. An architectural firm in London designed this building as well as one for Toronto at the same time. During the build the plans got mixed up, and the roof here is now able to support up to 5m of snow – not a particularly useful feature in Durban! The roof of the building in Toronto caved in during the first extreme winter.
