Amathole District accommodation. Kap River Nature Reserve is situated between the Kap River and Great Fish River, 28km from Port Alfred and covers and area of 670ha. The area is rich with luch sub-tropical forest and dense foliage with large trees, colourful flowers and shrubs. This reserve is home to over 300 species of birds which includes African finfoot, heron, martial eagle, hornbill, crowned eagle and fish eagle. It is also home to game like zebra, red hartebeest, impala, duiker and bushbuck. Activities available includes bush camps, guest houses with simming pool, picnic sites, canoe trails and hiking trails.
