Durban accommodation. The Kranskloof Nature Reserve, situated in Kloof near Durban, is a 530 hectare reserve covered by dense indigenous forest and vegatation. The reserve was established in 1950 by the Natal Parks Board, and is located at the magnificent meeting place of two river gorges, the Nqutua and Moweni. The reserve boasts a plethora of animal and plant species, and is managed by Ezemvelo Kwa-Zulu Natal Wildlife.
The reserve has a very popular and well developed picnic area, which overlooks the dam at the head of Kloof Falls. Also popular, is the educational 'Interpretive Centre', which is easily accessible along the Kloof Falls road. The reserve also offers a number of epic view sites, particularly those along Bridle Road.
Visitors can enjoy prepared walks which depart from the picnic areas, and visit the famous falls, and simple descend into the majestic gorge, following the river. Weekend visitors can even participate in organised walks.

Gate entry fee - R15 per person (children under 12 - R5) is payable on entry at either of the main picnic sites.
