Welcome to the Morgenhoff attraction page - in addition to guides like this article we also list a broad range of hotels, B&B's, guesthouses and self-catering establishments. Please take a look at our Stellenbosch page if you're looking for
Stellenbosch accommodation. Mogenhoff in Stellenbosch is one of the oldest farms in the region, having been established in 1692. The decorated wine estate is now owner by the French family of Huchon-Cointreau.
When the Stellenbosch wine route began in the early 1970s it was dominated by the three historic estates of Delheim, Simonsig and Spier. Today, however, a multitude of estates in the region offer wine tasting and cellar tours for a reasonable fee. Because of the number of wine tasting stops in Stellenbosch, most tourists choose to visit just a few estates and typically eat lunch at one of the fine estate restaurants. Today, favourite stops on the route include Delheim, Ernie Els Wines, Morgenhoff, Neethlingshof, Saxenburg, Spier Estate, Thelema, and Tokara (although some can only be visited by appointment).
