Welcome to the NEW! Cheetah interaction !!! attraction page - in addition to guides like this article we also list a varied range of hotels, B&B's, guesthouses and self-catering establishments. Please view our Ladysmith page if you're looking for
Ladysmith accommodation. New & exciting news is that Woodlands Lodge has recently started the exclusive cheetah interaction and
rehabilitation. After acquiring three cheetahs, two hand reared females (born on the Nambiti Private
Game Reserve, abandoned by their mother, and raised by De Wildt) and a Kalahari male we have
recently started our interaction and education program. Unfortunately these three cheetahs, namely
Shadow, Savannah and Mikka will not be reintroduced into our reserve due to the fact that we have lions
and leopards. These cheetahs are not familiar with the danger of living amongst these big cats, and they
will be easy prey, seeing that the bigger cats do not accept any competition. On the positive side of this,
our guests will have the opportunity to interact with the cheetah in their large enclosures. They are
currently in their quarantine enclosures, and will move to their new home by the end of April 2011
Looking for more than just information? We also list a varied range of
South Africa accommodation on our website. Let us know where you would like to visit!
