East London accommodation. The Orient beach is one of East London's many beaches that are wonderful swimming beaches thanks to of the invitingly warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
The Orient beach also happens to be particularly well suited to surfing.
East London is the perfect place to begin an exploration of this tract of the shoreline in what was formerly the Transkei. The Orient beach and East London are on a stretch of South Africa's coast appropriately know as the Wild Coast because of its unspoiled nature. Much of the land in the region is still owned by Xhosa communities.
