Elephant Coast accommodation. Phinda is a 170 square kilometer, privately owned reserved that is adjoined to the vast Greater St Lucia Wetland Park. It offers many of the same environments (sand forest, wetlands and bushveld), but with a wider array of game, including elephant, white rhino, zebra, lion, cheetah, nyala, kudu, and wildebeest.
Game drive and walks led by the reserve's rangers are popular excursions into Phinda (as they are at other game parks around South Africa), but this reserve also has more luxurious options available. Sunset cruises down the Mzinene river, diving trips to the coast, and top class food served in Savannah grasslands are all stunning options.
