Cape Town accommodation. Skeleton Gorge is one of the many routes up to the top of Table Mountain. At its base is Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, which is worth a visit in its own right. The Gorge is beautifully unspoilt, and wides it's way up the mountain alongside a stream, and the path crosses a few waterfalls on the way up. Near the bottom the Gorge supports a rich forest, which slowly turns into Fynbos as it climbs higher and higher. At the top of the Gorge is an amazingly beautiful Dam (beach included!) and the views from the top are worth the hike. From Kirstenbosch to the Dam is about a 2 hour climb.
