"It's a small town so bring what you need with you. A few restaurants but with lockdown 3 many were not open in July 21."
"Such an interesting, safe place and we loved our walk about town. We had dinner at The Rude Chef which is highly recommended. We hoped to leave via the Swartberg Pass, but that was closed because of heavy snow. Our drive via Klaarstroom and Meiringspoort was nevertheless spectacular with plenty of snow covered mountains!"
"Ons het oor die manjifieke Swartbergpas gery. Dit was so spesiaal. Nie baie ander verkeer. Dit was 'n sonnige dag, so die pad was rybaar."
"Vriendelike mense, fantastiese restaurante. 'n Dorpie wat mens kan platstap."
"I think Covid has really effected Montagu compared to other towns we stayed in. Very sad."
"Gorgeous place and friendly locals - do visit and support the donkey sanctuary!"
"Skoon, lekker pad om te ry. Mense altyd vriendelik. Stop maar vir 'n koffie of iets anders, gesels met hulle, jy sal verbaas wees."
"Well, with everything going on we weren't able to go to nature reserves or wine tasting, but we did visit Bird Paradise. It isn't far from the dorp and they're not pricey either, but what I can say is I always enjoy Robertson."
"Prins Albert sien ons weer - die kos, die karakter en die fietsry was uit die boonste rakke!"
"Montagu is very close to my heart. I love the calm atmosphere, no rush - just chilling."
"Op hierdie stadium is daar baie besighede en besienswaardighede toe. Dit maak die dorpie effe on-interessant. Maar die omgewing is pragtig en die natuur kan geniet word. Die ekonomie kry swaar op die oomblik."
