"Nieu Bethesda is off the beaten track and the last section of the road to get to the village is a bad corrugated dirt road. This was my first visit to Nieu Bethesda which is an interesting village. I would make sure beforehand which museums and places of interest are open and when, before booking accommodation, as not everything is open all day and every day. The information on their tourist website is out of date. Take enough cash as the crafters outside the Owl House sell their special creations there. All crafters were friendly, not pushy and very proud of their wares. A very poor community in dire need of tourists for upliftment."

Angels Rest"Voel nie baie veilig in sekere dele van die dorp nie. Maar dit is 'n probleem by al die plekke en nie by PE alleen nie."
"Lieflike bergdorpie met baie te sien en baie staproetes om te neem om die natuurskoon te waardeer. Die dorpie maak eers later oop, maar dit dra by tot ’n algehele ontspanne atmosfeer. Dit is beslis ’n dorp om te aanskou tydens blomtyd van die Azaleas (Oktober). Die restaurante is topklas en die mense laat jou vinnig soos een van hul eie voel."
