But if you're into enjoying and meeting lots of people, getting dressed up for night life and sitting in traffic similar to Sandton, then Umhlanga is awesome! Depends on the type of holiday you are looking for. If you just want to relax, be quiet, read a book and enjoy the fresh air of the coast, then this might be a little too busy a destination."

149 Anchors Aweigh"Goeie gebied om te rus. Daar is nie regtig veel om die kinders mee besig te hou nie. Enigste restaurant wat daar op die strand is, was amper vir die hele week toe wat ons daar was a.g.v. 'n brand, het 'n dag voor ons vertrek het eers oopgemaak. Geen water in die hele omgewing nie, sou verkies het om dit voor die tyd te geweet het, geen water maak dit baie moeilik, veral met klein kinders saam. Indien dit nie vir die waterkrisis was nie, sou ek dit beslis aanbeveel."
"Only issue I have is parking near the beach is sometimes near impossible which makes it difficult when you have a pensioner with you who battles to walk long distances. Car guards seem to be drunk most of the time. Ballito council should do something about them."
