"Grabouw is definitely for country lovers, and the annual Elgin Open gardens are a must, as is a visit to the Elgin Railway market. There are hikes, wine tasting, restaurants, etc. in a lovely country setting with the bonus of being a short drive from Cape Town."

"The Grabouw/Elgin district is a perfect destination. Far enough from the city but not that far. The area has a number of wonderful farm stalls, markets, dining opportunities and even the shops and a pharmacy are not too distant. Country living with everything and then some at hand! Perfect."
"Grabouw town is nothing special, but a must-see, is definitely a little bit outside the railway station market, which is now a quirky and very enjoyable place, beautiful architecture, lot's of foot stalls from oyster to fudge, for every taste something nice. And the beautiful landscape with wine-, champagne- and beer estates are very delightful. "

"Ek sal definitief stop by die padstalle (veral Houwhoek vir sy lekker pasteie en Dassiesfontein). Ons was by Cornellskop wat baie naby is vir 'n ongelooflike toer om hulle wilde diere te sien - die beste ervaring! "
