Summer time it is the best especially for holidays but winter is very cold and wet overall it is a great place for family outings.

Good. Generally everything is very expensive.

Tried to find some sort of retail/commercial centre, but couldn't find anything. Ended up driving to Howick/Maryvale to buy a few things and some takeaways.

For business travel, it is suitable. A bit too remote from the tourism side of Durban like the beaches.

Matsenki M. - 4th February 2019
staying in Scottsville, KwaZulu-Natal
For me Scottsville is an ideal destination because my son goes to Maritzburg Boys College, which is close by, and I will be frequenting the school for five years. It is a convenient location for shopping since Liberty Mall is close by.

Howick is 'n baie vervalle dorp.

Festha E. - 30th January 2019

Baie mooi omgewing.

KZN is a beautiful province that warrants exploring. It is also a province where political unrest are often tied to safety concerns. However, we found local people encountered on-route and near Norton Farm Cottage to be open and friendly, and we never felt unsafe. The roads are rife with potholes, but there are attempts to fix them. Free-ranging cattle are an issue in the larger province, but less so in the commercial farming areas surrounding Baynesfield.

Reta R. - 28th January 2019

Probeer gerus The Lemon Tree.

Vincent O. - 20th January 2019
staying in Utrecht, KwaZulu-Natal
I would not consider Utrecht as a final travel destination (unless you are into walking and need some peace and quiet) but serves excellently as a stop over en route to other destinations in Kwazulu-Natal and/or South Africa.
Nomonde N. - 20th January 2019

Safe area with all basic amenities nearby.
Marlene S. - 15th January 2019

It is convenient as a central location to explore Pietermaritzburg and the Midland's Meander.
Walter V. - 14th January 2019

Lovely atmosphere.
Morné V. - 13th January 2019
staying in Warner Beach, KwaZulu-Natal
Heerlike ontbyt gehad by Coffee Theatre in die Mall.
Ronel B. - 11th January 2019

Trevor V. - 10th January 2019

If you are a single traveller on a budget, then this is the place for you. Great braai and awesome company.
Rona D. - 10th January 2019
staying in Midlands Meander, KwaZulu-Natal

Daar is egter geen winkel of kafee nie.
Phillazie R. - 8th January 2019
