Proximity to the beach is great and the quick drive from the Cape is ideal. Giving it 4 out of 5 and not full stars because there aren't any good restaurants in the area which makes getting food tricky. We tried a few and they failed to impress and getting any good coffee is very hard which is odd for the coffee generation we're in and very frustrating. But overall, it's a great place to unwind on the beach especially if travelling with pets for a quick breakaway.

Great place. But you need to be prepared to travel to George or Knysna for proper shops.
Banus B. - 28th June 2019
staying in Sandbaai , Western Cape

I have been going to Witsand for many years as child with my parents and now with my own family. Witsand is a beautiful town safe and quiet and will most defiantly go again.

Mooi dorpie met 'n besonderse atmosfeer.
Rosa K. - 28th June 2019
staying in Merweville, Western Cape
Dit is 'n klein dorpie, maar so netjies.

Net waardering.
Jurina B. - 27th June 2019
staying in Yzerfontein, Western Cape
Love Yzerfontein - Its nature, animals and clean area and unspoilt beaches. it is a small town developing more restaurants, cafe's and bigger Spar. Neighbours are far, yet close enough for 'security' and regular security monitoring the areas. Loads of "health" conscious people, biking, running, walking dogs and just being friendly. A wonderful place to retire. The people take pride in their little town. An hour's drive to Vredenburg or Cape Town to do big shopping for the day. Quite expensive gift shops, catered for the international tourist, but lovely to look at. Friendly people.

We go to Cape town often, and I love staying in Bloubergstrand. The beach is great, there are nice restaurants and everything is close by.
