Amazing.

Peaceful, amazing, and definitely a place I would love to go again.

I would not book this accommodation again.

The accommodation did not reflect what was displayed on the pictures on the website. One of the single beds was broken. There was no WiFi, TV, milk, coffee, or sugar. The beds were clean but not properly made.

Lekker rustige naweek.

Van die hoofpad af is dit heel mooi, die landskap is klein dorp, met mooi berge. Dit is 'n links regs na die hek, ek het in my GPS die punt aangeteken presies waar die kaart dit gewys het. Want in die oord is die nommers mooi duidelik maar die strate kan 'n wankelpad wees. Verder die natuur so mooi, die meer uitstekend om in te gaan stap en foto's te neem. Die huis is mooi toegerus, hier en daar is leerskool van hoe die slot werk, geyser en alarmstelsel. Ons het lekker gebly al het winde so bo 30km/h gewaai, het die huis mooi gestaan, lekker stoep met Weber braai en tuis geriewe, ons sal maklik vir 2 weke daar kan rus. Dankie vir als.

We had a wonderful time.

People around were super friendly. The bedrooms were nice and clean. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The cabin is nice and spacious, and we will definitely be returning!

Very nice and tranquil.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place is nice and cosy, the house we had, was literally a stone's throw away from the lagoon. It was too cold to fish or swim, but I can only imagine how lovely it will be during the summer months. Booking was easy, the assistance from our agent was top notch and we will most certainly be back again.

'n Lekker kuierplek!

Skoon, netjiese, rustige plek. Alles was daar wat ons nodig gekry het. 'n Beter braai sal 'n bonus wees, sal eerder geboude braai verkies as die Weber wat voorsien was. Ons sal weer kom!

Nice, but lacked a few important things.

Had a problem booking the place initially. The place was spacious and clean and cute. Good location but wasn't on the water as portrayed in the pics. You can't see the lake even from the bedroom windows since there's a tree in the way. There were tons of paraffin lamps with no paraffin in them and we couldn't find the light we were told was there, luckily we brought our own with us. There was 1 drinking glass that was cracked and 3 wine glasses, 1 of each size with a great number of coffee mugs. The kitchen sink was blocked soon after we arrived but that was sorted. Overall a relaxing stay.

Ongelooflik lekker, gaan dit 'n gereelde ding maak!

Skoon beddegoed en handdoeke was voorsien. Was n maklike opset en lekker om saam met pelle te kuier! Min gepla oor kamers, ons soek mos net 'n lekker braai-area en kombuis! Geyser was ten alle tye warm wat gerieflik is. Sal eerder geboude braai kies as Weber wat voorsien was, maar was steeds lekker.

Relaxing and tranquil.

A really cosy and clean, modern house. Our kids loved it. We didn't miss the wifi or TV. Took a laptop with movies and encouraged them to do things outside. We had no problems with the hot water and the place was clean when we arrived. Will definitely visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay.

If they can look at installing WiFi, as an extra bonus for the future. We stayed at Visrand in winter and now in summer and enjoyed both visits.

Nice place, but they can do better.

It is a very nice place, but they need to inform you there is no TV. I know it's a place to relax. They must also leave instructions for the stove, and some of the kitchen stuff they must replace.

Die hotplate het nie gewerk nie.

Ons het dit aangemeld, niks was gedoen nie. Ek is 'n diabeet op insulin en moet my eie kos maak.

'n Baie rustige atmosfeer. En die mense is baie vriendelik!

Dit was 'n lekker ontspannende naweek weg van die stad se lawaai.

Safe and peaceful. Used the club house to watch TV and was a very friendly environment.

Absolutely terrible - total disappointment.

When we arrived in the pouring rain, we were unable to get in - tried to reach the owner for the access code and the phone was off. We eventually got into the place and it was a complete mess. Sheets and towels everywhere, ironing board and iron out. Toilets were filthy, stains on the pillow, stove doesn’t work (countertop stove) - the place clearly was not ready for guests. There was even a mop hanging in the tree outside and a broken broom for sweeping. Absolutely shocking service. The pictures of the place are deceiving and we were so let down. Totally disappointed.

Ek was aangenaam verras met die area en die pragtige verblyf. Alles was netjies en beddens gemaklik en geen probleem met warm water. Ons het lekker gestap tot by die meer en see en die stilte en natuurskoon geniet. Beslis 'n moet vir 'n rustige naweek weg. 'n Beter braai sal 'n bonus wees.

Tranquil and good.

The place was good and the staff on the property was helpful. The trails and map was a bit unclear. However, the place was stunningly beautiful and peaceful.

It was decent, but it needs loads of upgrades.

Few changes, air conditioning, a proper braai facility. If the wind picks up, it's dangerous using the Weber. Television, DStv for the sport lovers. Maybe a Jacuzzi.

Well priced and nice location.

This is definitely value for money. The unit is equipped with everything you need. My only complaints are that the Weber supplied needs to be repaired or replaced and the geyser sorted out as there were times with no hot water.

Beautiful setting, calm, tranquil, neat.

Lots for kids to do. Tennis, swimming, long walks on an in the lagoon. My kids loved that. Smaller towns are close by to explore.

We went there for the weekend and had an amazing time. I feel that the fact that there was no TV and WiFi was a blessing in disguise. It was refreshing and peaceful to not have a TV or internet to turn to! Very nice and relaxing.

Very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Would definitely do it again!

The cottage was very nicely kitted out, relaxing and very clean and tidy. The only recommendations we had was that maybe a fan could be provided and the entry might be 14:00 instead of 15:00. And maybe a braai grid and braai tongs be provided, we were told to bring our own. Otherwise we were more than happy with the accommodation and stay and will definitely like to do it again in future.

Unbelievably relaxing and peaceful.

A cosy accommodation in a beautiful location setting. The trip felt like just walking in to a second home and all equipment readily available. Even after just a couple of days, it was difficult having to let go as everything was just so comfortable. A small but beautiful view of the lagoon and all attractions just walking distance away, everyone on the trip thoroughly enjoyed their stay. It was a well deserved time off. Thank you.

Stil en rustig.

Wat 'n fantastiese huisie vir 'n mini vakansie. Ons het dringend rus nodig gehad en die plekkie het dit vir ons gegee. Veilig, stil, aktiwiteite om te doen, wilde perde en see. Bespreek gerus die huisie, kinders sal dit ook geniet. Dis mooi skoon en alles wat mens benodig. Naby winkelsentrum en tog ver dat jy nie voertuie hoor nie. 'n Stukkie goud. Sal weer hier kom bly.

Visarend 125 bied 'n heerlike, rustige wegbreek van die stad se gedruis. Dis perfek geleë en baie netjies.

I really enjoyed myself. Everybody was friendly. You surrounded by birds and a beautiful lake. Starts at night and birds chirping when you wake up. I will definitely come again.

We had such a lovely stay. The house had everything you need to have a relaxing holiday. The kids loved the swimming pool as well as fishing by the beach. The lagoon was beautiful in the evenings to go for long walks. Would definitely recommend it to all family and friends wanting to relax and be in nature.

Ons het 'n heerlike tyd gehad. Die plek is gemaklik en het alles wat jy nodig het.

Relaxing and peaceful.

Very nice. If we needed anything, they were just a call away. Lovely if you want to get away from it all. I forgot an item and they helped and posted it back to me.

Very nice place, but the nature reserve seems a bit "exhausted".

The house is lovely and would recommend the house, but the area and reserve seems "unused" and not very active/visited anymore. Some of the houses and boating have seen better days. Even some of the fancy houses had roof tiles coming loose. Was only about 50 - 60% full on a long weekend apart from the retired folk that stay there. We only noted 5 flamingos and no horses in the area (we drove through Fisherhaven and the reserve, also walked to beach and back across the lagoons edge a few times over the days). Never noted anyone fishing (even in Fisherhaven). Noted on a couple of forums that the lagoon is actually over-fished from the locals already. There was a dead goat on the lagoon edge as you walk down the path to the lagoon (meerkat paadjie). I recon only we noted it as we never saw anyone else at the lagoon except once (in 3 days). The first morning the water was cold as in we couldn't even shower or wash dishes. I found a control panel for the geyser and it was turned down - I turned it up as we couldn't even wash the dishes, never mind shower. Some of the sites show a pool table, this is in the community hall and not in the house! Overall - The house is great, the reserve seems a bit exhausted and don't see much people anymore. Great for a quiet getaway and some basic sight seeing - but take stuff with to keep you busy if you are planning on staying a few days unless you are willing to drive to other places.

Perfect if you need to get away from the noise of city life love nature trees, water and the great outdoors.

Just bring food, camera and walking shoes to explore the beautiful surrounds.

Baie lekker en mooi plek om vakansie te hou in die natuur.

Die huis is skoon en goed uitgerus. Die plek is besonder mooi by die lagoon en die see. Hermanus is naby en die omgewing is pragtig. Ons het dit baie geniet. Ek was daar saam met my man (vanuit Holland) en ons seun, sy vrou en ‘n klein baba (vanuit Kaapstad). Ek het egter 2 dinge wat nie reg was nie. Ons het vanaf Sondag nie warm water gehad nie. Ons kon nog stort, maar die water was eintlik te koud. Vir skottelgoedwas het ons die waterkoker gebruik. Maandagoggend was die water net koud. Dit was ‘n koue naweek en die kaggel se gasfles was leeg. My man moes Hermanus toe ry om die fles te laat volmaak. Dit het meer as 2 uur gevat en dit was R200 se koste. Mense wat na ons kom het geluk daarmee, maar ek dink dis nie heeltemaal reg nie.

Spent a weekend here. The Bot River Estuary is quite special. Good birding in the area.

Rustige, gemaklike verblyf - 'n heerlike wegbrekie!

Die verblyf was baie netjies en goed toegerus. Dit is 'n baie stil en rustige area en ons het heerlik ontspan! Ons was aangenaam verras en sou dit aanbeveel vir mense wat wil stilte hê en wegkom van alles af.

Ons het hier die vakansie geniet van die mooi plek naby die strandmeer en die see. Die huis was lekker. Dit is naby Onrus en Hermanus, maar nie so besig nie.

Dit was rustig en ons het ons verblyf baie geniet.

Dit was wonderlik dat dit moontlik was om te roei. Fantastiese plek. Ons het lekker gebraai en dit was baie rustig.
