Description
22 Protea is situated on Gordon’s Bay mountainside, and offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a lovely, 3-level, architect-designed home with beautiful views of False Bay, and the Helderberg mountain range in the distance.
This modern home features an open-plan style with high ceilings, large living areas, and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors allowing guests to enjoy panoramic views from the 6 bedrooms, each with air conditioning and living areas.
Entering from the front door or the garage to the upper level of the house, guests will find 2 master bedrooms and 2 guest bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, which can be converted into 2 single beds, an en-suite bathroom and a private balcony. Each bedroom has a TV, as well as a bath and a shower in the open-plan area allowing guests to admire the view while they bathe. One of the guest rooms is self-contained with its own kitchenette area.
Descending the stairs, guests will find the 2 bedrooms, the spacious open-plan kitchen, the dining room, and lounge areas. The bedrooms are furnished with king-size beds, which can be converted into 2 single beds, and 1 bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, while the other bedroom has access to a shared bathroom with baths or showers. Each of the rooms also has a private balcony.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with an induction hob and 4 ovens, as well as a fridge-freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher in the scullery. The custom-made, brass-topped dining table can seat 12 guests, and the lounge offers a sectional sofa facing a TV with a full selection of DStv channels. Internet TV, Blu-ray and DVD viewing, as well as Wi-Fi, is available, and the house has underfloor heating throughout.
The house is equipped for load shedding and lights, TV, Wi-Fi, electric blinds and doors, microwave oven, and fridges, is powered by solar power and a battery system, which is backed up by mains power.
The covered balcony overlooks the sea, as well as a quiet shaded courtyard, and offers braai facilities. Descend the stairs from the main living area to the heated swimming pool and deck which offers seating, allowing guests to admire the view of the mountains, and the bay, while relaxing next to the pool. A pool shower room and changing room for guests convenience are also available.
