Lodge on the Lake is built on the outskirts of Wilderness. Found on the world-renowned Garden Route, Wilderness is also known as the Eden of the southern coast of South Africa. Nature and architecture blend seamlessly into a setting that surely must be among the most beautiful in the world. Unsurpassed views over the lake below and the surrounding mountains are promised.

The rooms have been individually decorated in sophisticated style with earthy undertones. Not only honeymooners can indulge in the luxury and space of the Honeymoon Room with its four-poster bed and free-standing stone bath. Each room is equipped with a remote-controlled satellite TV, mini-bar, safe for valuables, telephone, tea- and coffee-making facilities as well as a hair dryer.

Relax in the lounge area and gaze out onto the rim flow pool and the expanse of lake beyond. Wireless Internet access is available in the lounge.

The Wilderness village is also known to the locals simply as Eden. It is situated between Knysna and George. The beautiful beaches and the Indian Ocean make this wonderful place to a well known destination for tourists from all over the world. The small village at the N2 is nestled into a fascinating landscape with lakes, dunes, lagoons and the Outeniqua Mountains.

It is a central tourist destination which is situated directly at the world-famous Garden Route. From here you can easily reach the cities of Knysna, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), George and Sedgefield. The idyllic atmosphere of Wilderness is created by its small restaurants and the weekly crafts market that takes place on a Friday at Milkwood Village.
