Description
Ambleside House offers self-catering accommodation in a tastefully furnished cottage situated on the banks of the Little Tugela River. Ambleside House is located on a farm, 3.2 km outside of the small town of Winterton.
The cottage comprises 3 bedrooms, 1 of which is situated upstairs, 2 of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with showers. The 3 bedrooms are furnished with double beds. There are twin beds and a bunk bed in an open-plan bedroom upstairs. There is an extra full bathroom downstairs. The other downstairs bedroom has an adjacent bathroom. Linen and bath towels are provided.
The cottage also comprises an open-plan kitchen and living area. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering and contains a fridge-freezer, an oven and stove, and a microwave, and features a breakfast bar which overlooks the lounge area. The open-plan lounge has a wood-burning fireplace for those chilly winter evenings. The lounge is also equipped with a TV with Netflix and a DVD player, as well as a music centre and Wi-Fi access.
The lounge leads through French doors onto a covered area of the deck. The large wooden deck overlooks the river towards the Drakensberg mountains, an ideal spot for entertaining, braaing or sundowners.
Guests also have access to an outside braai area on the river bank, under some beautiful Poplar trees for shade. Guests can relax in the lovely garden with ample lawn space for picnics, or in an 8-seater Jacuzzi. There is also a firepit to the left of the cottage for outside entertainment with beautiful views. There is also an outside shower, for those warm evenings.
