JOBHUIS A visit to JOBHUIS takes one on a journey of coming-in-contact with oneself, one's emotions, and the discovery of inner peace. There are opportunities for solitary meditation, and the expression of one's emotions.
Anyone who visits the JOBHUIS will benefit from the visit. People, who have experienced suffering or loss, have testified that exposure to the paintings has been of particular value to them.
TIGER CANYONS - John Varty - Tiger Canyons is situated in the Province of the Free State in South Africa in the district of Philippolis. It lies adjacent to South Africa's second largest lake, the Van der Kloof Dam.
The rugged Paaiskloof gorge runs through the sanctuary.
The habitat is extremely diverse with aquatic and riverine bush along the lake, rugged mountains flattening out to open savannah grasslands with thickets.
The species diversity is wide with many suitable medium to large size prey available.
KRUITHUIS (powder house) Built in 1870, the powder house has 48 cm walls. The need from it arose as Philippolis was on an explosives delivery route. However, foundation cracks prevented it from being used for its intended purpose for more than a few years.
Something old and Something new to bay.
