If there is anything specific that made you feel unsafe we would like to investigate and improve on that if need be, as safety is something we take extremely seriously. We pride ourselves on being a family friendly establishment, and as such we mostly had families with young children staying over the festive season. Our property is secure & all our guests cars have to park outside, but it is a safe area and monitored by CCTV. During the festive season our main beach road to enter Ansteys is manned by Police, with a road block to ensure it is safe for everyone, and with residents and guests being issued permits to enter. With regards to the noise, it was New Years eve on the night of your check in, so naturally there would be noise (some from our neighbours and other establishments which is unfortunately out of our control, but is to be expected on NYE).

I am not sure which you are referring to, as your room did not have a couch, and I did not see you go into any of the communal areas during your stay. There were multiple guests using these facilities at different times, as well as periods of these areas being empty. We would need more specific feedback in order to look into this or to improve on it if need be, as our other guests have not reported any issues.

Our housekeeping staff clean the bathrooms throughout the day, and once they have left work it is up to the guests to keep these areas clean, until our staff are back on shift at 7am. We unfortunately cannot take responsibility for other guests throughout that time. You unfortunately did not notify us of any of this during your stay, so we weren’t able to look into or rectify these issues mentioned
You & your partner walked past reception multiple times but never spoke to reception directly. When our receptionist phoned you to ask you to come and sign in (01/01) you did not mention any issues or that you would be leaving early/checking out that day. (We were only aware of your early departure once the platform phoned us a few days later. We were under the assumption that you were still staying with us). You had our reception number, as well as my personal number should you have needed to contact us during your stay.
We take pride that Ansteys is a rustic but clean and family friendly place, and we have many families return many times. We wish you had given us the opportunity to look into these issues during your stay, with the option to possibly move you to an alternate room should you have preferred that.
