Description
The Arborea Cottage is a unique and rustic self-catering farm cottage set in a beautiful valley, surrounded by magnificent fynbos, on the boundary of the Cederberg Nature Reserve. The farm is called Kleinjongenskraal or ‘little boys kraal’ and is about 25 km from Citrusdal. This mountain getaway is a peaceful place to recharge your soul.
The cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a kitchen and living area. The first bedroom contains a double bed. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds. The bathroom contains a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. Hot water is provided by a gas geyser.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas fridge, a gas stove and oven, and cutlery and crockery. There is a 4-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge contains comfy seating, and a Queen Anne wood stove. Wood is supplied. Oil lamps and tea light holders are provided for lighting. Outside is a stoep with braai facilities.
On the farm, you can spot a variety of wild creatures as well as a stunning range of plants. The farm is in a beautiful valley with several orchards all of which are organically farmed. Vegetables and berries are also grown. Guests are welcome to walk around using farm roads, take hikes up into the mountain, or bring their mountain bikes and enjoy cycling on the farm roads. Guests can paddle in the Waboomsrivier to cool off, plus or there are a couple of irrigation dams that guests can swim in.
