Fresh towels are supplied daily and 100-percent cotton linen is used on all beds. In-room amenities include a TV with a smart box, an air cooler, a heater, a bar fridge, and tea- and coffee making facilities. The name of this room refers to another ship that was shipwrecked in the Overberg, namely the Duchess of Buccleugh. It was a British wooden barque en route from Calcutta to London. It ran ashore on a sandy beach close to the Ratel River mouth on 13 June 1850.

It was a British wooden sailing vessel (East Indiaman) which stranded near Northumberland Point (Struis Bay) on 25 August 1838.

The Family Unit consists of the luxury room called Le Souvenance and a second, additional bedroom called Zoetendal. These rooms are inter-leading rooms next to each other. The Le Souvenance room has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom that is fitted with a shower and a bath. The Zoetendal room has a balcony overlooking Kassiesbaai. This room has a double bed and can accommodate a maximum of 2 people. Le Souvenance has a bar fridge, a TV with a smart box, a fan, an air cooler, a heater and tea- and coffee making facilities. Fresh towels are supplied daily and 100% cotton linen is used on all beds. Zoetendal has a TV with a DStv decoder that can be activated at an additional cost of R50 per day. The Le Souvenance can be booked alone as a luxury room sleeping 2 guests, please enquire.
