Art Deco Villas is located in the quaint town of Middelburg in the Eastern Cape. It is located in the middle of South Africa and is there the ideal overnight spot.
Accommodation is provided in 5 guest rooms, each with its own private entrance and self-catering.
The Self-catering Unit is ideal for 2 adults and 2 children below 12. The room is furnished with a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a bath.
The unit has its own spacious living room with a self-catering kitchen with a stove, fridge, and microwave. The living area has a double door that opens onto a spacious covered verandah with a patio set with seating for 6 people. In front of the patio is a braai.
The Self-catering Room is furnished with a double bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. There is also a fridge, a microwave, a 2-plate stove, crockery and cutlery. The room has an outside door opening onto its own private patio with outdoor seating for 2 people. In front of the patio is a built-in braai.
The Family self-catering unit is suitable for 2 adults with 2 children. It has an open-plan living area and kitchen area with a stove, microwave and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. The room has a single bed and a double bed. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower. The living area has an outside door leading to a patio with braai facilities.
The Stoepkamer comprises a single bed, an en-suite with a shower and a kitchenette with a 2 plate gas stove, microwave, toaster and tea-and-coffee making facilities. This room is suitable for 1 guest. There is a door leading out to the patio which has braai facilities.
All four of the patios have views over the garden with green grass and tall indigenous trees full of birds. It's the perfect sundowner spot in the quiet of the Karoo after a long day on the road.
The Annex consists of a room with double bed, en-suite bathroom with shower and seating on garden furniture on the lawn in front of the room. The unit features a bar fridge, TV and tea-and-coffee-making facilities.
Activities in the area include a visit to the Owl House in Nieu-Bethesda, the Valley of Desolation in the Camdeboo National Park in Graaff-Reinet, and then Bergkwagga National Park close to Nxuba (Cradock).
There is a safe covered parking spot behind the guesthouse with a remote-controlled steel gate.
