Baie goeie verblyf. Rustig, nie lawaaierig en baie netjies.

Tyd was teen volle geniet.

Ons kuier was inderdaad baie genotvol.

Expected more in rooms.

No burglar bars at doors and windows. One room had fleas and we had to spray our whole bodies. Coffee, sugar, milk cups, but no spoons. Very nice garden and pool area. Expected more guests since it stated "sold out".

Voorsien in die basiese.

Die eenheid was baie netjies en skoon. Bevat slegs die mees basiese. Koffie / tee nie aangevul op dag 2. As jy beplan om die verblyf net vir oornag te benut is dit ideaal maar bied weinig meer.

Daar gebly tydens die KKNK.

Alhoewel alles skoon en netjies was, was dit erg teleurstellend gewees toe ons vuil koffiekoppies net so gelos is, hul het dit nie gewas of vervang met nuwes vir die volgende gebruik nie. Beter kwaliteit koffie en melk sal al klaar julle sterre vermeerder. Selfs water vir drinkdoeleindes is altyd nodig in enige plek.

Skoon, veilig en bekostigbaar.

Baie oulike plek. Skoon kamers. Heerlike swembad. Die bonus was dat daar 'n generator was, so loadshedding het nie gepla nie.

Klein, maar getryn.

Kyk asb. na jul kussings want hulle tyd is verby. Badkamer kort spieël by wasbak, mans kan nie skeer nie. Een bed se matras is ook uitgelê. Rubbermatjie onder stortmatjie sal veiliger wees, teëls is baie glad.

Volslae teleurstelling.

Ons badkamer het geensins gelyk soos op foto's geadverteer nie. Daar is geen mini-yskas beskikbaar nie. TV buite werking, geen remote vir TV of lugversorging nie. Geen diefwering voor slaapkamervensters nie, moes dus met toe vensters slaap, met lugversorging waarvoor daar nie 'n remote is wat aan- of afgeskakel kan word nie. Voor vensters is daar geen blindings of netgordyne nie, dus moet jy die gordyn heeltyd toetrek vir bietjie privaatheid. Ander gaste het ook weer die hek toeparkeer sodat niemand die perseel kon verlaat nie. A.g.v. al die gebreke, vroeër uitgeklok, wag nou nog vir "refund".

Klein, maar netjies en skoon. Beter koffie en 'n ekstra teelepel sou kon doen vir die prys.

Die lugversorger vir so 'n warm plek was nie op standaard nie, maar verder was als heel goed.

Long weekend getaway with family.

Had an amazing time here and went to all the attractions. Stephan the host was amazing and made us feel at home. He went out of his way to sort us out for the braai and microwave for popcorn and movies. Was a very comfortable and easy stay.

The double bed is uncomfortable. The stairs/ladder in the rooms to the upper room do not feel safe.

Netjiese bekostigbare verblyf.

Netjiese bekostigbare verblyf. Indien ek 'n voorstel kan maak: Ons het na-ure daar aangekom, en moes ons by die kroeg ingaan om aan te meld/in te boek. Dit het glad nie 'n goeie indruk geskep van 'n anders netjiese instansie nie. Behalwe daarvoor het ons baie lekker gebly, en is die mooi, groot swembad beslis 'n groot bate. Vriendelike groete.

Great overnight stay.

I travelled the R62 and booked an overnight stay at the venue. The premises is well maintained and geared towards the modern traveller. The customer service was excellent. The room was clean, smelled fresh, was spacious and had a view of the swimming pool. The only setback was that the shower still had a shower curtain instead of the glass panels. As with hotel rooms, the room came standard with coffee and tea facilities and a television. You can also pay for secure off-street parking - which I did. I really enjoyed my stay at Baron's Palace and would highly recommend the venue.

The advert for this place is misleading, even on their own website.

The Baron's Palace advertises that is has a restaurant. We were running late for the check-in as we drove all the way from Pretoria. We phoned to ask what time the restaurant closes, we were then told, there is no-one to cook food over weekends. This is unexpected from a place advertising as a hotel. We specifically booked this place because it said hotel, rather than a self-catering because we knew we'd be travelling far and thought it would be better than to look for food after the long day. Upon arrival at the "hotel" there was no sign of a restaurant. There was, however, a bar (pub) with pool tables and (we later saw) a mini "casino" because they also had a separate room with a few slot-machines. lots of smoking, no ventilation. No restaurant. Moreover, the room we were placed, had a mini fridge and a microwave. This is more of a self-catering. I we had wanted self-catering, we would have booked at a place that quoted us R400 a night for the two of us. This was R650 a night. By the time we realised this, we had already booked 2 nights and we couldn't get a refund. When we arrived the second time, there was no microwave in the room. When we asked about there being no microwave this time, the manager told us our choices were: a double bed with no microwave, or a room with single bed(s) (not sure if they had multiples) with a microwave. Please note, both nights cost us exactly the same. Same cost, not the same facilities. Given that there were other options in the area when we booked that also would have cost us cheaper, and we would have prepared better so as to not be caught off guard after an incredibly long trip to have to go looking for an open restaurant. Advertisement is definitely misleading. I checked on their website and it says the same there. Incorrect information and misleading to people new to their establishment.
